At Warembo Na Disability, we address the intersecting challenges faced by persons with disabilities through four key pillars of intervention. Each area combines direct service with systemic advocacy to create lasting change.
We believe healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Our health initiatives ensure persons with disabilities can access quality, disability-friendly medical services—from mobile clinics in underserved regions to specialized sexual reproductive health (SRHR) programs for women and girls. We prioritize GBV prevention through safe spaces and legal protections, recognizing that women with disabilities face heightened risks of violence and exclusion from mainstream health systems.
True inclusion begins with opportunity. Our empowerment programs equip women and youth with disabilities with vocational skills, leadership training, and mentorship to thrive economically and socially. In education, we remove barriers through scholarships, teacher sensitization, and adaptive learning tools, because every person deserves the chance to learn in an environment tailored to their abilities.
Systemic change starts with awareness. We provide free legal aid to persons with disabilities while educating communities to dismantle stigma and harmful stereotypes. Our democracy initiatives advocate for political participation, ensuring PWDs have a seat at the table in decisions that affect their lives—from local governance to national policy reforms.
Independence begins with access. We bridge the gap between need and availability by distributing wheelchairs, prosthetics, and sensory aids, paired with training to maximize their use. These devices restore dignity, mobility, and the ability to engage fully in daily life.
